The Fire That Fed Me

A memoir about resilience, love, loss, and the quiet, courage it takes to choose yourself and reinvent your life.

It traces the moments that break us open, the ones we survive, and the turning points that change the direction of our lives forever.

Inside The Fire That Fed Me

The Fire That Fed Me is a memoir about resilience, love, and the quiet courage it takes to choose yourself when everything asks you to begin again.

It traces the experiences that shape us the things we endure and the moments that alter our direction. Set against the backdrop of Las Vegas, it moves beyond the lights to the deeply human experiences unfolding underneath. At its heart is a complicated truth: sometimes love asks us to stay, and sometimes staying costs too much.

Through relationships, grief, illness, and addiction, I write from lived experience about the difference between loving someone and losing yourself in the process. About recognizing when survival has become a way of being, and finding the courage to want something different.

I wrote this for anyone who has stood at the edge of everything they once recognized and wondered what comes next. For those rebuilding after loss or healing in ways no one else can see.

Sometimes beginning again isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about finding your way back to the person you were always meant to be.
